....Be with You!!!
Yes, I am that Star Wars Geek.
Yes, I made Wallace pose with my vintage (1977) R2D2 and my (1983) Wicket Ewok. He is wearing the hood from my other Ewok, Paploo. ❤️

Star Wars!!
What would any good Star Ward Geek do the day after watching Rogue One? Watch the original Star Wars in it's original theatrical version- before it was called Episode IV: A New Hope. Before George got his hands on it again and tried to "make it better" with ridiculous CGI. Ah, yes... The original as we all first saw it way back in 1977. ❤️

Amazing Star Wars-Themed Holiday Ginger Bread Village!!
Gina and I went into Downtown Seattle today to check out the Gingerbread Village Display at the Sheraton Hotel. It was AMAZING!!! All of the "Gingerbread Houses" were Star Wars themed - there was one display per episode/movie! I didn't see any specific details about what each display was made of, but I assume everything about them was edible.
We were lucky to be able to see this display on a weekday afternoon. I hear it's very crowded on weekends, especially as we get closer to Christmas.

They also had a Star Wars Tree in the front of the lobby.

Star Wars Episode VII Tickets!!!!

WOOT!! We just bought our reserved seats to see Star Wars Episode VII on Opening Day!!
I knew that tickets were going to be released after the showing of the newest preview during tonight's Football game. I don't watch football, so I tried calling our theater after dinner to see what time ticket sales would start. After trying a few times without anyone picking up, I also tried their website. The theater's website (the site for the entire chain of theaters, not just our local one) was down completely, so I figured there would be no way to get through to get tickets.
I asked Dick if we could drive to the theater and take our chances to get tickets. He was up for it - it's only about 15 minutes away, and an easy drive. When I got in line, I was in the front, but there were two people buying tickets ahead of me. The theater manager came around, as a line was forming behind me, asking if anyone need to pick up tickets for tonight's movies. I asked him if they were selling tickets for Star Wars yet, and he said I was lucky - they went on sale only minutes before.
Their systems were super slow, but we managed to get in.
I got tickets for Friday afternoon, December 18th.
And, this isn't just any theater. This is the iPic Theater in Redmond. Not only can you reserve seats, but I was also able to get the Premium Plus seats that recline, they come with popcorn, and you can order food or drinks (real drinks!) off the menu.
Seriously. We Scored!!
Super Excited!!
The Force was with us tonight. :)

Star Wars Costume Exhibit at the EMP Museum
We went to the EMP Museum today to see the new Star Wars Costume Exhibit. It had only opened late last week, so it's brand new. From what I understand, this will be the first stop of a tour. It'll be in Seattle through the end of October. If you are in the area, and a Star Wars fan, I highly recommend it. It was VERY impressive! I will now have to watch ALL of the Star Wars films again (yes, even Episodes I-III just to reexamine all of the costumes.
For the record: Natalie Portman definitely got all the best costumes (and SO many!).
